Funny of the Week – Federal Government Teaches “NO SEX WITHOUT MARRIAGE” to 29 Year Olds???

This is the funny of the week. Actually, it’s so DAMNED STUPID that it’s both funny and sad.
The Federal Government, in it’s infinite wisdom, and I assume at the direction of our idiotic President, has revised the federal grant guidlines for sex education to change it so that in order for schools or other organizations to receive grants to teach sex education, they must now include UNMARRIED ADULTS UP TO AGE 29, they must prove that they are actively seeking adults up to age 29 to enroll in the sex ed class AND they MUST teach ABSTINENCE only.
What the fuck is the Federal Government doing spending my, and your, tax dollars teaching abstinence to 29 years old. Talk about stupid! Accodring to James Wagoner, President of Advocates for Youth, “They’ve (the government) has steped over the line of common sense.” No Shit!
I mean, c’mon on. Since Bush has been in office all that the school systems have been allowed to teach in regards to sex education is “no sex without marriage”, or, nothing but abstinence. That in itself is just plain stupid, but now to require it be taught to ADULTS up to the age of 29. Jeez! Accodring to Sarah Brown, Director of the National campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, “The notion that the federal government is supporting millions of dollars worth of messages to people who are GROWN ADULTS about how to conduct their sex life is a very divisive policy.” HDK couldn’t agree more.
Want to know why AIDS is increasing at an alarming pace among young gay men between the age of 18-25? It isn’t because of bareback videos or more promiscuity going on today than in the past. It is primarily because of several reasons. First, gay men in that age bracket have not received any AIDS prevention education. NONE! All they have been lectured about it “don’t have sex until they get married”. Well sorry, that is certainly unrealistic at best, and if the kid sitting in the sex education class is gay…..he’s sitting there thinking, well shit, I’m never getting married anyway…so must not apply to me. Second reason is that the young gay guys of today, most of them, have never known anyone who has died of AIDS…They think it is an “old gay mans disease”. Third, what little they know about the disease they glean from the pharmacy ads in the gay magazines and all they see are healthy looking guys who say they are just taking one pill a day and doing just fine. And lastly, when is the last time we have had any type of national awareness campaign to teach people about AIDS. Anyone remember? What the hell are the AIDS organization doing with all the money they receive…outside of, of course, paying themselves big salaries and buying permanent buildings? Ask yourself this question. Is their ANY financial incentive for ANY drug manufacturer or ANY AIDS organization to really find a cure…or, even try to prevent the disease from spreading? The drug companies sell more pills and the AIDS organizations get more clients, which, in turn, means they get more funding.
Guys, please, if you don’t do anything else this month of any importance, please go vote…..and vote these stupid shits out of office and lets get some politicians in office that have at least a little common sense. And, while you are voting or deciding whether or not to vote, keep in mind, it is kids like Rudy here, who haven’t been exposed to the education they need!!
