Thanks for Lighting a Candle for World Aids Day
When we posted the original message early this morning about the Bristol Myers Squibb offering to donate $1, up to $100,000 for each candle lit at their website at https://www.LightToUnite.org/, their had been approximately 16,000 candles lit. We’re happy to report that as of tonight, at 10:00 PM Pacific Time, the number of candles which have been lit is now 42,029!
Thanks to each of you who have lit a candle in memory of someone and who have passed the message on to friends. The goal is $100,000. So, if you haven’t lit a candle yet, go to the site above and light one. It’s free, doesn’t cost you a thing, only takes a minute of your time and one mouse click and will help various AIDS charities in their fight against AIDS.
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had three friends over for Thanksgiving dinner and John, true to style prepared a “southern” style dinner with a 25 lb turkey and all the fixins. We had kind thought about “stuffing” each other a little later tonight….but, neither of us can hardly move after stuffing ourselves with dinner and finishing it off with pecan pie, pumpkin pie and banana pudding. So, it’ll be an early night as we turn in, just do some snuggling and let the food digest a bit. And then, it’s off to the gym tomorrow to burn off all those calories!
Hugs to you all, Happy Thanksgiving and be sure to spread the word about lighting a candle.
