HDK Shipping Policies and Procedures
Are your packages shipped discreetly?
Absolutely. Your package will arrive in a plain box with no indication on the outside as to the contents.
What are your shipping and handling costs?
Shipping and handling costs are calculated based on weight, distance and method of shipping chosen.
What method of shipping do you use?
You have several options to choose from in the shopping cart as you process your order. Your choices are standard ground delivery, Next Day, 2nd Day and International Shipping. We make the choice between the various carriers depending on zip code and our experience in that zip code.
Next Day Air Deliveries
When ordering Next Day Air deliveries please keep in mind that if you order after 12 Noon PST Monday thru Thursday or after 10am PST on Fridays, it will NOT ship until the next business day. FedEx and UPS do not deliver on Saturdays without imposing an additional fee, usually about $10.00 more than the standard Next Day Air fee. Our shopping cart does not calculate Saturday delivery charges, therefore, if you ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY have to have your delivery delivered on Saturday, please call us on 1-760-416-1070 after you have placed your order online, telling us that you authorize the additional Saturday delivery charges otherwise it will not ship out until Monday.
Do you use the Postal Service to ship?
Yes, we have customers who for one reason or another do not receive mail at their residences or prefer to use a P.O. Box. For that reason we use Priority Mail and USPS depending on the weight and size of the box and the zip code where the item is being shipped.
What about International Shipments?
We ship to countries all over the world. Based on experience or incidence of credit card fraud, their are some countries to which we refuse to ship. There also are countries we can't ship to, such as Germany and Japan, due to their Custom Regulations. To save you problems with customs many of our international shipments are shipped via FedEx International Air, others, depending on the country, are shipped via the USPS. Please understand that if you live in a country with laws restricting the import of adult material, we can not guarantee your shipment will not be seized by your customs officials. If you live in such a country you are ordering at your own risk and assume all responsibility for lost shipments. We are not able to provided refunds if your package is seized by the Customs Officials in your country.
How quickly do you ship?
In most cases all orders are processed and shipped within 24 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. There are times when out-of-stock situations or other factors may delay shipping. If an unusual delay is expected we will notify you of the delay by email. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and do everything possible to get the order out to you as quickly as possible.
If I order on Monday and specify two day delivery does that mean I will get it on Tuesday, counting Monday as the first day and Tuesday as the second day?
No. When calculating delivery times you cannot count the day it was shipped. Nor can you count weekends. For example, if your order is shipped Monday and you specified 2 day delivery,it will arrive on Wednesday. If you order on Friday and it is shipped on Friday, it will not arrive until Tuesday assuming you specified 2 day delivery. If you order on Friday too late in the day for it to ship, it will not ship until Monday and will not arrive until Wednesday.
What about ground service, how long does that take?
Delivery time for ground shipping vary depending on where you live. We use Fed-Ex Ground Service and United State Postal Service depending on the size and weight of the package and the zip code to where it is going. Normal ground service can vary between 3 and 10 days excluding weekends or holidays.
Do I need to be at home to accept delivery?
Not necessarily. You can specify that the package be left without your signature, or you can leave a note on the door telling the delivery driver to leave the package. Just keep in mind that if you specify that it be left without your signature then you assume all of the risk if someone steals it before you get home. In most cases, packages shipped through the U.S. Mail do not require a signature for delivery. Also, in some cases, the driver may refuse to leave a package if he/she feels it is unsafe to do so.
Returned Orders Unclaimed or Refused
If a signature is required and the customer refuses to pick up or sign for the package, the package will be returned to HDK. In that event, you authorize HDK to charge the return shipping fee to the original credit card used when the order was placed.
